50 Acres Land for 10,000 Houses Under PM Awas Yojana Phase-I in Chandigarh

The government of India is going to transfer 50 acres land to Chandigarh Housing Board for the construction of affordable houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Chandigarh. As per the information received from the source, the government will transfer 50 acres land to CHB Chandigarh for the construction of 10,000 houses in the first phase of PM Awas Yojana in Chandigarh. These flats will be constructed in six storey building.

The land will be utilised by CHB for the construction of different types of flats for different categories. It is expected that the south sector land will be transferred to CHB. The government has around 600 vacant land.

Under the scheme, CHB received 45,000 applications for EWS, LIG, MIG-1 and MIG-2 flats.

18 Days Left for Application
For the demand survey of PMAY Chandigarh, the board is receiving a very good response form the people. From the start date the board received 36,000 online application and about 6,000 manual application from CHB office. The last date for submitting application form is 20 April 2017.

No Fees for Online Application – The board is not charging a single penny for online application of PMAY Demand Survey, however for submitting manual application the cost of form is Rs. 10/-. Now the willing people can also submit their application through E-Sampark Centers and KIOSK Centers in Chandigarh.
