Gujarat State government has launched Atmanirbhar Gujrat Sahay Yojana, people in lower middle income group can avail guarantee free loan of Rs.1 lakh from banks at 2% annual interest as it seeks to help them get back to normal life disrupted by the COVID-19 Lockdown.
The government will pay another 6% interested to banks giving loan under Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) Scheme, targetted at small businessmen and a cross-section of people falling under the lower middle income group.

Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) 2020
Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani announced Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) wherein the urban and district cooperative banks and credit societies in the state will provide Rs.5000 crore as loans to small enterpreneurs and businessmen at an interest rate of 2%.
Government is also giving a moratorium on payment of the principal amount and interest for the first 6 month on the loans that will have be repaid in 3 year.
The central government has given a package of Rs.20 lakh crore to make India ‘Atmanirbhar’. Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said, the state government has also decide to launch Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) for small businessmen, skiiled workers, Auto-rickshaw owener, electricains and barbers.

Gujarat state government will invite Aatmanibhar Gujarat Sahay Yojan online application From. AGSY scheme applications may be invited through the Gujarat government official website or a new official dedicated portal.
