BDA to Build 5,000 Houses under PMAY & CM Awas Yojana in Bhopal Next Year

The next financial year will be a kick-off time for the affordable market of Bhopal. According to information received from the source, in the next financial year 2018, the Bhopal Development Authority (BDA), will emphasize on the development of affordable houses in Bhopal.

With the worth of Rs. 200 crore, BDA will construct about 5,000 low-cost houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana.

These houses will be sold at subsidized rates under PMAY and CM housing scheme.
The announcement was made by the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in public function for providing affordable houses to all poor. It will ensure possession to 12,500 plot owners in prestigious Aero city near airport. The remaining 1,800 plots of the project will be developed in next phase.

The source informed that more than 500 low-cost houses constructed by the agency under affordable housing project remained unsold after the announcement of government that they would provide houses to all poor.
