Bhopal Development Authority Affordable Housing Scheme in Navibagh, Gharonda

In the end of 2014, Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) has launched an affordable housing scheme in Navibhagh Gharonda near Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC). The affordable scheme offers 1BHK and 2BHK flats for Economical Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) category of the society. Under the scheme, there are 96 1BHK flats for EWS category and 420 2BHK flats for LIG category.

The size of 1BHK flats is 350.45 square feet while the size of 2BHK flats is 550.37 square feet. Registrations starts from 1 December 2014 and the last date of registration is 19 December 2014. Registration forms are available at the Head Office of Bhopal Development Authority, Pragati Maidan, Maharana Pratap Nagar.

The cost of application form of 1BHK flat for EWS is Rs 200/- while for 2BHK flat (LIG) it is Rs 400/-. The applications can also be submitted online through official website of Bhopal Development Authority www.bda.org.in with the e-transaction of Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 for 1BHK and 2BHK respectively.

The authority is charging 10% of the cost of flat as registration amount which can be paid via demand draft in the favor of Bhopal Development Authority. To be eligible for the scheme, the annual income of EWS category applicants shouldn’t exceed Rs. 1 lakh while the LIG applicants should have annual income between Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakh.

The allotment of flats will be done through lottery system. The information regarding to lottery will be given via newspaper to all applicants. After one month of the lottery, the board will refund the registration amount to all unsuccessful applicants and the amount will be directly deposited in to their bank accounts.
