CHB to Launch New Housing Scheme in Sector-51 for 128 Flats

Chandigarh Housing Board has broad the eligibility area for the registration CHB flats in new project in Sector-51. It is a good news for the residents of Dera Bassi, Baddi, Kurali and Banur areas and other areas which are lying in the radius of 25 kilometer from the boundary of Chandigarh. Chandigarh Housing board has decided that people residing within a radius of 25km from the boundary of Chandigarh can apply for a flat under its new project. While in the previous stipulation, the residents within the radius of 8 kilometer could apply.

According to the source, the CHB New Housing Scheme 2016 in Sector-51 will be launched on 1 April and around 128 2BHK flats would be available for allotment through lottery which would cost around Rs. 69 lakh. It is a long time when, CHB has made a decision to launch a new housing scheme. The last scheme of CHB was launched in 2008 in sector-23 where 2,100 flats were constructed.

Maninder Singh, the Chairman of CHB said that, the brochure for the project is ready. The flat will comprise a dining room, two bedrooms, balconies, kitchen, store, dress space and two toilets. The allotment will be through draw of lots. We are hoping to start construction in May and will try to complete the project two years.
