The development agency of Chandigarh known as Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) is working on the plan to launch CHB new housing scheme in Sector 53. As per the information received from the source, the board is planning to launch housing scheme for the sale of flats at Sector-53, Chandigarh.
The CHB planning committee has approved the plan and officials are working on geo-technical survey of the area. And after getting approval from the higher authorities, the board will roll out the scheme for registrations.
Earlier, CHB launched its housing scheme for the sale of 200 housing units for the board hadn’t received a better response but those units were offered for limited categories. And this time, housing units CHB housing scheme would be available for various categories of the society so that maximum people can avail the benefits of CHB scheme.
In the upcoming scheme, 450 flats would be made available in different types. Of total, 200 flats would be 3BHK type and remaining 220 would be 2BHK and 1BHK type. As many as 80 dwelling units will be kept for those belonging to the economically weaker sections. The cost of housing units which would be available in the scheme is not determined yet.
The CHB authorities are expecting a better response to the scheme. For the scheme launched in April last year, only 225 applications were received for 200 two bedroom flats due to a high cost of dwelling units. — TNS
