Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana Gets Good Response from Builders in Haryana

Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana: The initiative of Haryana government attracting the prospective builder in the state for constructing affordable housing units under the scheme. Haryana government has launched Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana (DDJAY) with the aim to provide affordable housing units across the state.

Under the scheme, the constructor should have a grant license for building housing units in low and medium potential town of the state. According to the source, 39 applications has been received for the grant of license for over 342.03 acres of land in eight districts of the state.

In the statement, the source said that the applications received are being examined and, once the licenses are granted, the state would be able to provide shelter to more than one lakh persons in about 24,000 dwelling units.

The source appealed to people to avail the benefits of Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana and meet their needs of housing and he also asked for not to invest in unauthorized colonies as it would put the hard money at risk.

“The price of land under DDJAY is more or less the same as in any unlicensed colony, why would one opt for the latter?” he asked.

According to the information, all the project under DDJAY would be completed within a span of seven years from the date of grant of license.
