Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna Housing Scheme Approved in Haryana

Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna:

On 3 February 2016, Haryana Government has approved the implementation of Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna in the state. Deen Dayal Awas Yojna is approved under Consolidate Licensing Policy 2015 by the government. The state government has decided to implement relocations policy for shifting of industries in residential areas in the interest of industrial units and public at large.

The decision to approve the implementation of Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana and Relocation Policy for shifting of industries was taken in the Haryana Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The Yojna will provide around 2 to 10 acre land to builder and farmers to develop housing colonies and housing projects. Under the yojna, the farmers are able to develop colonies. The CM said that around hundreds of builder who are defaulters are working in the state. And under the rules of Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna, 15% of the builders land for constructing a project will be taken by the government as a bail so that in future if the builder create any mess then the mess can be resolved by selling that 15% land.

The CM of Haryana said in the statement that the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana is a policy for providing affordable plotted housing for low and medium potential towns. After that he quoted that it aims at development of High Density Plotted colonies in low and medium potential towns of the state wherein small plots are made available through a liberal policy framework.

According to the statement of Khattar, under the scheme, all such projects shall be required to be necessarily completed within seven years from the date of grant of license.

The chief minister said the cabinet decided to implement Relocation Policy for shifting of Industries operating in the residential areas in the interest of industrial units and public at large. As per the policy, the state government will facilitate shifting or relocation of industrial units to the conforming areas.

Besides, the cabinet has also approved the Haryana Sports and Physical Fitness Authority which will be registered as a society. HSPTA will encourage, promote and develop physical activity and quality sports infrastructures. The upcoming authority will be headed by CM who will be its President and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister would be Vice President. In this authority, the state government has also decided to appoint the sports person who are jobless.
