The Hubli Dharwad Urban Development Authority is working as a planning authority under the Karnataka Town and Planning Act, 1961. The Authority is responsible to develop plans for the Group Housing and Layouts.
Following the main responsibilities of MUDA
- Planning the schemes to develop commercial, residential and Industrial sites, parks and playgrounds, and the civic amenity sites.
- Making the commercial complexes.
- Constructing the houses for economically weaker sections, middle, low and high income group.
- To develop the major infrastructure facilities.
