The state government is providing houses under 2BHK Housing Scheme to the families at Narsannapet in Markook mandal of Gajwel constituency. 2BHK housing scheme is a flagship scheme of state government under which they are providing the houses to the beneficiaries.
Around 330 families from Erravalli and 159 families from Narsannapet in Markook mandal of Gajwel constituency would get houses under the 2BHK Housing Scheme for which a housewarming program is scheduled for today.
Housewarming ceremony is being conducted for which arrangements are made by district administration for 600 houses. The construction of these housing units would be completed soon.
The government hired around 600 priests for performing the simultaneous program of “Gruha Pravesham” in all houses. A meeting was held between district Collector P. Venkataram Reddy and concerned officials for the arrangement of the program.
According to the information construction work was stated in October 2015 and foundation stone of the scheme was laid by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Each house was planned to be built in such a way that they have enough lung space. Though the initial plan was to build 285 houses at Erravalli and 200 houses at Narsannapet, the number surged to 385. At Narsannapet, the demand was capped at 200 houses.
The source said that the District Collector made all the efforts to make the housing scheme a reality and visited both Erravalli and Narsannapet villages numerous times to convince the villagers to demolish their houses to get the new ones in their place. The Village Development Committee (VDC) played a crucial role in motivating the villagers to go for the 2BHK houses and stay in temporary accommodation provided by the administration till the construction was over.

Great article with wonderful double bedroom housing information in Telangana state.
True, the telangana state government is providing double bedroom houses for the below poverty people. But the figure mentioned above 489 is not correct i hope. They are providing thousands of 2bhk independent houses or apartment flats in most development area. The ruling government has declared to give 5 lakh rupees to the plot owners who are ready to build their own houses in their own plots. This is a great opportunity for the people to build their home on their own interest as per HMDA Hyderabad rules.
