NTR Housing Scheme: 58,000 Houses Build in West Godavari District

NTR Housing Scheme: Following the earlier announcement, the government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned 58,000 houses for West Godavari district. According to the statement of Women and Child Welfare Minister Sujatha, 58,000 houses has been sanctioned for West Godavari district under the NTR Housing Scheme.

The announcement was made in the occasion organized in the area. In the occasion she made an announcement for the construction of 1,550 housing units at Madepalli village of Venkatapuram Panchayati in Eluru rural mandal under NTR housing Scheme.

The houses under the scheme were targeted to complete in three years, minister said. Further she added that total 6 lakh houses sanctioned under the scheme of which 2 lakh houses are for rural area, would be constructed at the worth of Rs. 5,800 crore. The construction of these houses would be finished this year.

Out of remaining four lakh, 2 lakh houses would be constructed in urban area at the cost of Rs, 10,000 crore.

The occasion was also joined by Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao (Bujji). On his turn, he said that besides the construction of houses under NTR Housing Scheme, the colony would be provided with drains, roads, power supply and other basic amenities.

Meanwhile, the District Collector of West Godavari K Bhaskar make his statement and said that 1,250 houses in rural areas of every assembly constituency were sanctioned in the district. He said that another 40,000 houses were also sanctioned in urban areas. A model colony would be constructed in Madepalli village under the NTR Housing Scheme, he added

In the occasion, Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu), Sarpanch Cherukuri Deepti Usha, AMC Chairman Kurella Ramprasad, Housing Board Project Director Srinivasa Rao, Eluru Municipal Commissioner Y Saisrikanth and others participated in the programme. Earlier, the Minister and others garlanded Ambedkar’s portrait and paid tributes.
