PM Awas Yojana in Haryana Gets Special Task Force

State government of Haryana has taken a hovering step for Housing for All scheme. The government has formed a group of members who will take their eyes on every task of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

According to the source, a Special Task Force has been constituted under the chair of CM Manohar Lal Khattar. The force is formed for the effective implementation of the scheme so that each family of will get their own house by 2019.

CM presided the meeting held in their regard and directed all the respective departments, board and corporations involves in the implementation of the scheme, including Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Haryana Housing Board, Haryana Police Housing Corporation and Rural Development Department to prepare schemes to achieve the target of the scheme by 2019. He also directed them to speed-up the implementation of the existing housing scheme.

While emphasizing on the scientific methods for conducting survey, CM also directed the related departments to provide district-wise details of housing requirement and already constructed houses. He also asked them to utilize the services of multiple agencies in this regard to ensure the accuracy of data.

The aim of the government under the scheme is to assist those who either want to construct new house or purchase already constructed houses.

On this, Haryana Housing Board has also been directed by the CM to see the demand of houses in the big cities, towns of the state including Faridabad, Sonipat and Panipat. He also directed the HBH to construct houses as per the demand so as to ensure their proper utilization.

Besides this, he also directed the Rural Development Department to carry out detailed mapping to identify the exact number of beneficiaries who yet to get 100 square yard plot.

The government has assigned Chairman, Haryana Housing Board, Jawahar Yadav, the task of “maintaining proper coordination” with different departments under the scheme.

According to the information received from the source, HUDA has constructed around 6,300 flats under Ashiana Scheme. Besides this, 6,000 flats would be constructed in Rajiv Colony and Indira Colony in Panchkula under Pubic Private Partnership (PPP) component of PM Awas Yojana.

On the other side, Haryana Housing Board has also constructed around 15000 houses for which the allotment process is in progress. Apart from this, 17,000 new houses are in the construction stage. The board has so far constructed 83,000 housing units in the state.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was announced in 2015 with the aim to ensure a house for each family in the country by 2022.
