PM Awas Yojana in MP: Beneficiary Will Get Rs 1.20 Lakh for Constructing Houses

The government has replaced Indira Awas Yojana by Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for providing houses to the poor segment of the society. The scheme is launched by Prime Minster Narendra Modi for benefits weaker section by providing them a housing by 2022.

Under the scheme, rural beneficiaries will get Rs. 1.20 lakh for constructing house. While under Indira Awas Yojana only, Rs. 70,000/- were provided to the beneficiaries.

To remove the chances of fraud were made in Indira Awas Yojana, a Mobile APP has been launched for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana which can be downloaded from Google Play Store and the APP is named as “PMAY G”.

In this application, complete information of the beneficiary to be provided. Besides, present photos and new photos of house to be uploaded in the APP with GIO tag. The construction stage of old and new houses could be obtained from Google Map.

According to the information received from the source, beneficiaries were got three instalments of houses without constructing a house under Indira Awas Yojana. Number of such cases were found in the Sagar district. All these were done due to the frauds of officers. After that Sarpanch, Secretary and other officers were taking commission. To stop this fraud, a new policy has been implemented. This will benefit the real beneficiaries of the scheme and the houses will also be constructed.

Under the PM Awas Yojana, the beneficiaries will get around Rs. 12,000/- for constructing toilet and a wages of Rs. 18,000/-. That means Rs. 1.50 lakh to be provided for single house.
