It is the last chance for the people who hadn’t applied for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Roorkee. The last date of submitting application form is now been extended to 28 May 2017 and camps are also been organised by Nagar Nigam for the registrations and applications of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Roorkee in Haridwar Uttarakhand.

The aim of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide houses to all by 2022 and the government is working in the task of finding the PMAY beneficiaries. Survey for the scheme and application form process for PMAY in Roorkee was started on 2 January 2017 and to cover all wards of the city it was to run up to 28 May 2017 but due election in the area, the task of camping for PMAY applications was not completed.

The scheme has also proposal of providing home loans under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for eligible people.
The officials of Roorkee Municipal Corporation informed that survey work has bee completed on 12 May but still some of the people left to fill the form in the scheme, for last date has been extended to 28 May 2017.
Eligible applicants whose annual income is less than 3 lakh will provided a assistance of Rs. 1.50 lakh and the beneficiaries whose annual income in between Rs. 3 lakh to 6 lakh will be provided a home loan under PMAY of upto Rs. 6 lakh under CLSS for EWS/LIG component along with exemption of about 2.15 lakh. And maximum tenure for PMAY home loan would be 20 years.
