Telangana 2BHK Scheme: Central Government has released Rs. 179 crore for the implementation of 2BHK houses under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme for poor. The scheme was launched on 22 October 2015 on the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashami. Under this scheme the government has set their target to construct about 60,000 homes for in 10 districts across the state within next 8 months.

Mr. Dana Kishore, Director of Municipal Administration had convened a meeting of all the Municipal Commissioner and sought the project reports formulated by them. Out of these reports, 26 projects were finalized. According to the earlier update, the first project will be implemented in Erravelli village in Jadgdevpur mandal.

The 2BHK homes under the housing scheme will comprised of 2 bedrooms, one kitchen, and two toilets. The area of the homes would be 560 square foot.

According to the source, the report of these projects would be presented to central government on 18 November 2015.
