UPAVP Online Booking for Flats at Just 10K to Start Soon

People will soon be able to book a flat online by paying a token amount of Rs. 10,000. According to the source, UP Housing and Development Board (UPHDB) will launch online initiative for people to book a flats. This facility will allow people to choose their flat’s location and flat number which would be displayed in map available on the housing board website. To block a unit, interested one will have to pay an amount of Rs. 10,000 online within a time period of a week.

After booking, a time period of 7 to 10 days will be given to the allottees for checking up the status of flat and if the allottees are satisfied with the location and condition of the property, they can go ahead with depositing the registration amount.

According to the statement of Rudra Pratap Singh, the additional housing commissioner said that in the given span of time (7-10 days), an applicant has to submit registration amount and the authority will immediately issue a provisional allotment letter to him. However, the current process is tedious as one have to pay some part of the property’s value and then have it registered. But by the new rules and option, the allotment letter will be issued in only 7-10 days of booking.

On the side of this option, if an applicant is not interested in buying the property which was chosen by him/her then the booking amount of Rs. 10,000 would not be refunded to the applicant.

Meanwhile he quoted that a person may not have enough money or may not like flat’s actual condition but he won’t get the money back. For fresh allotment, he has to book again online. Singh said, “Under this, we will first cover those schemes which have many vacant flats. People can scan through properties and select their favorite one online just like they book seats for a movie.

This online booking will also apply to new launches of the authority. Whenever a new housing project will be launched, UPHDB will first follow their routine registration process where people come, pay the amount and register their names. But if the authority find appearing number of candidates less, they will begin online booking for vacant units.

According to the information, currently, UPHDB has around 2,500 vacant properties in Lucknow and about 2,000 in Ghaziabad.
