A good news for the people living Vadodara has been announced by VMC Vadodara Municipal Corporation for getting house under VMC EWS housing scheme 2017. VMC is going to launch a new housing scheme 2017 for 2,600 houses for EWS (economical weaker section) category of the society. Homes in VMC EWS housing scheme 2017 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be constructed at Kishanwadi as a part of VMC PMAY Projects.
VMC EWS Housing Scheme 2017
The housing scheme will be made available under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Sanjaynagar in Warasiya and the size of homes under the scheme will be 30 square meter. The scheme will benefit the the slum dwellar and living in unauthorised government land by providing them a home and shelter for better living.
According to information received from the source, about 2,637 houses will be made available at the site wher the government has planed the construction of 1,841 units for residents of Sanjaynagar. Remaining housing units which to be constructed at site will be used by the civic body for resettlement of residents of other area in Vadodara city.
Houses for Sanjaynagar Residents
Earlier, the civic body invited tenders from the realtors for the construction of 1,841 houses for Sanjaynagar residents along with the construction of 698 houses. The civic body made the task of constructing additional 698 houses mandatory. The developer can either pay premium to the civic body or construct additional houses.
The civic body received the lowest bid from consortium of Narayan Realty Pvt Ltd and Sai Ruchi and DMC Infra Developers. These developers agreed on the condition civic body of constructing addition houses and they had proposed to make an additional 98 units for the project under PPP mode.
Apart from the land to be used for constructing houses for urban poor, the developer would be allowed to use the remaining part for commercial purposes.
