Bihar State Housing Board will be constructing 5 types of flats in Digha, Patna in the coming years out of which 9000 flats will belong to economically weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG) of the society. The cost of 1BHK flat will be approximately 20 Lakh in the upcoming schemes in this area.
The board will be building 5 types of flats in the upcoming township in Digha including EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG and premium duplex. There will be 1BHK to 4BHK flats in the township across the categories. The housing board has proposed an initial cost of flats at Rs. 4000/- per square foot for the residential area and Rs. 8000/- per square foot in the commercial area. The cost of 1BHK and 4BHK flats will be about Rs. 20 Lakh and Rs. 80 Lakh respectively.
LIG flats will be 2BHK available for Rs. 40 Lakh with an area of 1000 square foot while 3BHK MIG and 4BHK HIG flats will spread across 1500 sqft. and 2000 sqft. and will be available at Rs. 60 Lakh and Rs. 80 Lakh respectively. The cost of premium duplex flats have not been decided yet.
There are about 700 people already living in the area in the 400 acre site where the township is being planned and the board will give them homes without any cost according to the area of their existing home. The board will pay the construction cost to the commercial entities in the area.
The board will allot the flats through lottery system. The township project modal is being prepared by the technical team and will be approved by the board first before being implemented. Below are more details about the township project.
