Jammu and Kashmir is covered under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) – a union government scheme-Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Tuesday.
Responding to a query by PDP MP Nazir Ahmed Laway during question hour in Rajya Sabha, Hardeep Singh Puri said 5218 houses have been constructed in the state under the scheme so far. Out of the total 3812 houses have been constructed during the last two years and in 2019.
Hardeep Singh Puri said that 601 houses were sanctioned in Kulgam district during last year and in 2019. out of this 230,100,169 and 102 houses were sanctioned in Ddevsar, Frisal, Kulgam and Yaripora.
