Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is an initiative of central government for providing houses to people who are not able to buy a home. Under the initiative, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is going to construct 2500 homes for public and the project to be completed by March 2017. To identify the homebuyers and demand of housing in the area, the concerned departments conducted a survey. On the basis of received application, LDA has been given a task of constructing 2500 home for the beneficiaries.
The beneficiary of the scheme will be provided a subsidy of upto Rs. 2.5 lakh. The amount of PMAY subsidy will be contributed by central and state government. As per the information received from the source, over 1100 application received for PMAY subsidy scheme and the demand survey is under process.
A target of constructing 12,000 houses in the city, has been given to the development authority of Lucknow. These houses will have two room set and it will cost around Rs. 4.50 lakh. The homes will be constructed by Housing Development Council and LDA and the responsibility of providing the home to the beneficiary has been given to SUDA (State Urban Development Authority) Uttar Pradesh.
Flats to be Built under PMAY Lucknow
- People living in the slum area will be selected by SUDA for providing houses. The houses will be given on the basis of first come first serve through online random selection.
- People who don’t have home and land will be provided home into Multi Story Type Building..
- People who have land will be provided subsidy for constructing home. An amount of Rs. 2.40 lakh will be given to beneficiary as a subsidy.
- Poor people who will get loan from bank for building home will be able to get a subsidy of Rs. 2.40 lakh. The amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a housing mission running across the nation and number of beneficiary have been provided houses at affordable cost along with subsidy and loan.
