Tamil Nadu Government Launches New Housing Scheme for Homeless

State government of Tamil Nadu has come up with the housing scheme for the people who don’t have house. Chief Minister of TN, Edappadi K. Palaniswami inaugurated the scheme yesterday for the construction of pucca or concrete house.

Tamil Nadu government following the guidelines, given by late former CM J. Jayalalithaa, of providing houses for those living in Panchayat area and have not owned any house. She had given the directions to concerned authorities for building houses in Panchayat area for homeless people.

The Implementation of recently inaugurated Tamil Nadu New Housing Scheme will be with the financial help from central and the state governments

The scheme launched for current financial year under which houses will be constructed for the aroun 50,170 beneficiaries living in Panchayat area. The cost of concrete houses will around Rs. 3.15 lakhs and total worth of the houses in scheme is around Rs. 1580 crores and 36 lakhs.

During the inauguration of the scheme, CM handed over the authoritative order for the construction of the concrete houses to 5 beneficiaries.
